Hey film lovers! So, I just spent my Tuesday eve (yes, again) with Jason Statham and his perfectly sculpted frown in “Parker.” Sometimes, I think the man’s face should be insured for how much it carries a movie. Anyway, what’s “Parker” all about? Imagine an honorable thief—kinda like the Swedish summer, up and down—who gets betrayed by his crew. And boom, revenge is on!

Now, I’ll be honest, if you’re looking for deep conversations and character development… eh, maybe hold your horses. This one’s more about adrenaline mixed with some classic, American-style action. The type where explosions are as frequent as coffee breaks during Swedish fika. I bet they chug a gallon of gasoline before breakfast.

Statham’s no stranger to these roles, and his performance here is like a well-oiled Volvo, sturdy and reliable. But the plot? I have my doubts. It’s a bit like trying to find your way through the dark woods of Småland with no compass. You know there’s going to be a turn… but you’re not quite sure where it’s heading.

One thing that really tickled my memory was the heist scenes. They took me back to a rather bewildering night I had in a Crown Bakery in Södermalm, trying to sneak in for a night snack without setting off any alarms. Didn’t quite pull it off, but hey! It’s the thrill that counts.

Amidst all this chaos, Jennifer Lopez drops in—like a charming neighbor you didn’t know you needed. She’s warm, sassy and, let’s face it, elevates the movie beyond just brawn and bullets. Sure, the script might not be Oscar material, but who doesn’t love a bit of guilty pleasure, right?

Catch the trailer Parker and decide if you wanna join Parker on his Rambo-style rampage. jättespännande, or maybe just a glorified thrill ride? You tell me!
